OK, first a little cross-Atlantic nomenclature clarification: they say ‘chips’, we say ‘crisps’. We say ‘chips’, they say ‘fries’. Done! Now. Terra Chips is the brainchild of two New York chefs, Dana Sinkler and Alex Dzieduszycki, who each left their jobs at four-star Manhattan restaurants to begin a modest catering business that would soon grow to cater some of the most elite parties in the Big Apple. Their aim was to create a versatile dish that could be enjoyed as a flavorful snack at the bar, a beautiful and delicious accompaniment to any meal or a welcomed addition to the fanciful plate of hors d’oeuvres. In February of 1990, within Dana’s tiny apartment kitchen, Terra Chips were born. Today the Terra brand is housed within The Hain Celestial Group, a leading natural, organic food and personal care products company in North America and Europe. These all-natural exotic vegetable and potato crisps are a real feast for the eyes and a delight for your taste buds. It’s really hard to believe that no artificial colourings have been used to produce these amazing crisps. The range of flavours is quite astounding too. From sweet potatoes to beets, from carrots to taro, parsnips, batata, yuca, it’s a compendium of familiar and exotic root vegetables in all their glory. And they taste great! We’re a long way from greasy, over-salted, artificially flavoured crisps. These are truly wonderful healthy snacks for all age groups or occasions.
Tips: Give these to your kids. Make sure you explore the whole range.
