These mini bite-size mozzarellas are absolutely gorgeous. Soft and creamy (some mozzarellas can be too chewy) with a beautiful taste of fresh milk. They melt in your mouth and are almost too moreish, if that’s possible… Caseificio Villa are based in the northern Italian lake region and also make an excellent Ricotta.
Tips: thanks to their small size these are particularly well suited to add to salads. The classic Italian one being the ‘Caprese’ with just slices of fresh tomatoes and whole basil leaves. Add a bit of salt, pepper and drizzle everything in olive oil. Result: instant Summer!
